The leading technology innovator in mobile communications LG Electronics unveiled the features of the LG-GD900 with the world’s first transparent touchpad phone at CTIA Wireless 2009 in Las Vegas on April 1st.

The LG-GD900 originally had its debut at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona earlier this year.

This advanced mobile phone has the latest touch interaction experience and features a 3″ full touchscreen together with their latest technology the transparent touchpad which supports finger-writing recognition and Haptic feedback.

The transparent touchpad allows users to control and navigate through the phones features.

The 3D user interface has specifically designed functions:

- ‘Multi Touch’ increases on-screen readability allowing users to zooming in and out of web pages with ease.
- ‘Gesture Shortcut’ enables users to configure shortcuts with a simple finger gesture, for example, by writing an “M” on the touchpad and configure this command to run the music player.
- ‘Touch Wheel’ makes it easy to pause, play and rewind multimedia clips with a swirl or finger.

LG have released their update to the original LG Viewty – the LG GC900 Viewty Smart which has been significantly improved.

The display is a touch-sensitive screen and is large measuring 3.0″ and displaying 800 x 480 pixels. It also comes complete with an impressive 8.0 mega pixel camera with Schneider-Kreuznach optics and an LED flash. The camera also has face detection, multi-shot capabilities and panoramic stitching – all this is a light weight case weighing in at just 102 grams.

The updated LG mobile phone is WiFi complete and supports 3.5G with integrated GPS so is a great mobile phone to have in your pocket., the Viewty Smart is an impressive device.

This mobile is very similar to the new LG Arena except that the Arena has just a 5 mega pixel camera, as the new Viewty also features LG’s new S-Class user interface and has a strong video recording and playback functionality supporting a wide variety of media types including MP3, MPEG4, AAC and Windows Media formats.

On top of all that this phone is a quad-band GSM phone – so well done to LG for producing a great phone.

The LG Arena KM900 Mobile Phone has a quality touchscreen and Dolby sound for a superb musical experience.

You can download your favourite songs and then enjoy crisp Dolby sounds on the MP3 player with a standard 8GB memory to store all your tunes, which is expandable up to 32GB. There is also an FM radio so that you can tune in to your preferred radio stations.

With the LG Arena you are able to surf the internet at super-fast speeds and the phone comes complete with a high quality 5 megapixel camera so you will be able to take great quality photos. The camera has a zoom lense and comes with a flash so that you will be able to take pictures in bad light.

This is a Quad-band phone and is 106mm x 55mm x 12mm with a talk time of up to 4 hours 50 minutes and a standby time of up to 320 hours and comes with Bluetooth.
