Users can learn to create their own mobile apps using HTML5 and JavaScript.

appMobi today announced immediate availability of its free “AppLab” interactive eBook app. AppLab is a free download in both the Apple App Store and the Android Market.

The AppLab app is intended for people who are interested in creating mobile websites or native smartphone apps, and want to learn how to leverage the powerful new capabilities of HTML5. The interactive AppLab eBook app was created using the same HTML5 technology that is the subject of the book itself.

Interactive components of the eBook include working demos of fun HTML5 capabilities that access device functions and rival Flash, such as animation and multimedia. The eBook also provides users with the ability to download HTML source code snippets and even try out new code. After learning the techniques in the lessons, users can apply what they learned at http://www.appMobi.com and instantly see the results in
the AppLab app.

Regarding AppLab, appMobi CEO Dave Kennedy said, “We believe in the unifying value of standards, which is why we fully support HTML5. appMobi offers, for the first time, a platform to truly democratize the development of apps. By combining AppLab with the appMobi XDK (also a free download), we’ve made it easy for anyone with basic Web skills to use HTML5 to create fully native, high performance apps for today’s most popular smartphone platforms — iPhone, iPad and Android.”

About appMobi

appMobi is a cross-platform mobile native app development and deployment ecosystem. It allows virtually anyone to develop mobile applications for smartphones and tablets using standard HTML tools. appMobi developers can “write once” and deploy their native apps to a variety of devices and operating systems, including iOS, Android, and more to come.

New release provides an end-to-end cloud management platform for external, internal and hybrid clouds in a single console powered by the Workload Allocation Cube.

6fusion, the leading provider of utility billed Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) today announced the general availability of its latest cloud computing platform UC6 Version 3.0. The new release builds on the company’s core utility metering technology and includes a multi-tenant cloud management console, self-service workload creation and management and improved features to help customers orchestrate workload migration to the cloud.

Leveraging 6fusion’s unique metering algorithm — the Workload Allocation Cube (WAC) — the UC6 platform turns the cloud into a billable utility. Users can meter cloud resource usage and either cost allocate or bill based on actual computing resource consumption. Paying for Infrastructure as a Service using the WAC is like paying for electricity by the kilowatt, ensuring customers are only charged for what they actually use and providing improved transparency into cost and resource allocation. “With the release of UC6 Version 3.0, service providers and enterprises now have the tools necessary to turn the cloud into a truly utility-based model, regardless of whether they are using external, internal or hybrid cloud services,” said 6fusion CEO John Cowan.

6fusion’s UC6 Version 3.0 provides an end-to-end cloud management platform for internal, external and hybrid
clouds. “UC6 3.0 creates a single pane of glass through which enterprise customers, service providers and data center operators can provision and manage compute resources on a global basis,” explained Rob Bissett, 6fusion’s VP of Product Management. Through the UC6 user interface, customers can instantly deploy new cloud workloads to their own private infrastructure or infrastructure that belongs to multi-tenant service providers anywhere in the world.

Another key feature is the Profiler module. Initially released as a stand-alone tool in 2009, Profiler comes fully
integrated with UC6 3.0. “Profiler is a critical tool for our business because it unlocks valuable insight into the
cost performance of an application, the number one barrier to cloud-based adoption,” said Greg Onoprijenko, Managing Director of Sales for e-ternity Business Continuity Consultants. “Our customers depend on Profiler to help determine and prioritize their cloud migration strategies.”

UC6 3.0 can be deployed to create multi-tenant IaaS or within the private confines of an Enterprise data center. “We believe the future of the IaaS business rests with the capability to seamlessly bridge the business requirements of Enterprise customers with the technical capabilities of service providers,” said Cowan. Phil Santoni, CEO of Net Direct Systems, agrees. “We chose to partner with 6fusion because they built a platform that addresses many of the challenges facing cloud adoption within the Enterprise market,” said Santoni. “Net Direct System’s cloud service strategy is based on 6fusion’s ability to not just meter and
bill compute resources, but also safely and securely permit the customer to outsource workloads on-demand to external data centers.”

MEDL Mobile, Inc., a leader in mobile application development and the company behind internationally successful apps such as Note to God and the #1 hit Mall Maps, has created a new app that brings the
First Amendment to your fingertips with the introduction of Note to Obama. Note to Obama is a new mobile app where users are able to anonymously voice praise, express approval or disapproval or simply give a “shout out” to the tech-savvy 44th Commander in Chief. The app, which allows users to read other postings and stay in touch with public opinion, launched today and is available at http://www.medlmobile.com
and at http://www.apple.com/itunes app store.

Satisfied with the President’s overhaul of the U.S. health care system? Commend him on a job well done!

Have ideas about the best way to improve the economy and lower the unemployment rate? Share your ideas with Obama and send him a note.

Already in its first week, Note to Obama has generated such notes as:

“hello, mr. obama. I am jordan davis & you are my inspiration.”

“Pull all troops out of Iraq! Is politics and money worth more than someones son or daughter?”

“Health care is ridiculously expensive. Have you looked at the NHS in the UK to reform? There are so many people who suffer because they can’t afford to be treated. We are a developed nation and supposed to be a super power.”

Similar to MEDL Mobile sister apps Note to God and Note to Haiti, all notes are anonymous and cannot be identified by any other users. Also, be sure to double-check your facts and spelling because once you hit send your note is final!

Most importantly Note to Obama is user-regulated: Share any note you’d like the President to read and if the people like it, your note gets the “upvote.” If your note is offensive or inappropriate, other users will vote it down.

MEDL Mobile is proud to call Note to Obama a Shiny MEDL Object.

MEDL Mobile was recently featured on CNBC’s “Planet of the Apps.” MEDL develops custom applications for people, companies, advertising agencies, consumer brands and themselves. MEDL’s “Shiny MEDL Objects” are apps that fascinate, entertain, connect and empower their users. MEDL has more than 35 applications available on the Apple App Store – with dozens more currently in development for iPhone, iPad and Android.

Retina-X Studios, LLC, announced today the immediate availability of Mobile Nanny for Android, BlackBerry, iPhone and Windows smartphones.

This parental control service allows parents to monitor, filter and restrict their child’s smartphone with ease. The software records and blocks the activities the parent specifies, and can restrict usage of the device to a
schedule the parent configures.

According to 2010 data from a Pew Research survey, one in three teens send more than one hundred text messages per day. Many parents are not fully aware of what their child is texting about. With sexting on the rise, many parents have a responsibility to know whether or not their child is using a device safely and wisely.

Mobile Nanny, a stealth application, allows parents to see every action their child performs, including every text message sent or received, every call dialed or received and every photo captured. Parents can view actions inside the hidden interface on the phone itself, or they can login to a secure Web panel from any Web browser to view logs and GPS locations.

One Retina-X Studios customer, Mike Robertson, had the following to say about the company’s mobile monitoring software. “I am trying to prevent pornography from getting to my child’s phone. I love this program. Its working great and helping me monitor all the text messages from the monitored phone.”

Simply knowing what they’re doing isn’t enough. Certain actions performed by a child may need to be corrected. The program can block any phone number from SMS and calls. Websites and applications can also be blocked. The parent can even setup a specific time schedule that the phone can be used, thus restricting the time their child can use the device.

“A teenager with an instant communication tool in the palm of their hands is a necessity in today’s world. However they are not adults, and many times they’re not yet mature enough to handle this type of technology. Mobile Nanny helps parents to bridge the gap between technology and safety,” states James Johns, CEO of Retina-X Studios.

Mobile Nanny also includes instant SMS commands the parent can send to the child’s phone. This allows the parent to track where their child is at any given time using the Instant GPS Locate command. It also provides an anti-theft feature for tracking the number of any SIM inserted to the phone in case the phone is lost or stolen.

A one-year subscription to Mobile Nanny is priced at $49.97 in the USA. This hybrid software and service supports Android, BlackBerry, iPhone and Windows Mobile smartphones. The product is coming soon for Symbian OS and Windows Phone 7. For purchase and download information, visit http://www.mobile-nanny.com.

This week, AT&T’s 3G network servicing the Apple iPad was breached. AT&T claims the breach is closed, but RESCUECOM CEO David A. Milman says, “While most everyone is aware that security is important, very few of us understand what goes into securing the software, hardware, and networks that contain our most valuable asset, our identity. AT&T’s breach is a perfect example of how at risk we are.”

RESCUECOM provides iPad users with five tips to protect their personal data:

1. Turn off the 3G Network: AT&T has stated that there is no more threat to customers. However, turning off 3G wireless Internet service, at least temporarily, will protect an individual’s personal data from any further attack.

2. Request a new SIM from AT&T: The ICC-ID number that the hackers breached is attached to each user’s SIM, the card linking an individual iPad to its user. Changing the SIM card would change the ICC-ID as well, rendering that information useless.

3. Confirm any email from Apple or AT&T: The most likely threat to iPad users comes from what are called “phishing attacks” – fraudulent e-mails disguised as being from a trusted source. These attacks trick users into giving away personal information or into opening e-mails that may install malicious programs.

In this case, the e-mails would most likely seem to come from Apple or AT&T, as most users would expect. Should an iPad owner get an email, they should confirm that it came from the real Apple or AT&T, and remember that the real companies never ask for personal or login information in an e-mail.

4. Change your email: The simplest solution is to stop using the compromised e-mail address. AT&T states the only information illicitly obtained was user’s e-mail addresses. Changing your address would eliminate this threat.

5. Be careful what you use the iPad for: Using the iPad is, most likely, still safe. However, to best protect personal data, users should be careful what they use the iPad for. Avoid tasks such as mobile banking or anything that transmits personal information, especially when on a 3G network.

For those consumers who have not yet purchased an iPad, but were considering it, Milman reminds them that, “As with all new technology, RESCUECOM recommends waiting at least six months for the manufacturer to work the major bugs out of the system.”

RESCUECOM recognizes the value of personal and Internet security. Should any iPad owner feel that their personal data may have been compromised, they can contact one of our computer repair specialists for assistance.

About RESCUECOM:

RESCUECOM provides computer repair and computer support, 24/7: meeting every tech support need including data recovery, virus removal, networking, wireless services, and computer support for all brands of hardware and software.

Logic Wireless, creators of the projector cell phone technology, announces that it will be displaying the world’s most powerful cell phone at the CES 2011 in Las Vegas. The Logic Bolt V1.0 first gained widespread attention when the international press considered it the breakout hit of the 2009 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Both models are GSM Quadband handsets that project phone content onto any surface up to 64″. This is achieved through an integrated mobile projector.

According to Logic Wireless CEO, Aasim Saied, “Logic Wireless has firmly established its place in the global
arena for many years to come. Our smaller size and higher quality allows us to be more nimble and tailor more products to the consumers’ needs.”

In 2010 Logic Wireless released the Bolt V1.5 for a test market launch. More streamlined than its 1.0 counterpart, the Bolt 1.5 offers significant upgrades to the OS and software, as well as a much smaller form factor. These upgrades not only signify the technological stamina that Logic Wireless offers to the cellular phone industry, but also make the Bolt V1.5 the sleekest, most efficient phone projector produced to date. The new model is so small and versatile that it is being positioned as the next evolutionary step to the business and social networking arenas.

Logic Wireless is also gearing up to introduce an advanced green energy technology along with a powerful patent-pending high-definition projector cell phone, scheduled to debut in 2011. Given the innovation Logic Wireless has displayed with its early projects, cornering the market in green technology is sure to make it a mainstay.

ForeclosureRadar Releases iPhone App, Makes Professional-Quality Foreclosure Information and Services Available in the Field.

Daily auction schedules, property details, photo and note-taking tools now available anywhere.

ForeclosureRadar (http://www.foreclosureradar.com), an online service that provides accurate, up-to-date information on the foreclosure market in California, Arizona, Nevada, Oregon and Washington, announced today that it has released an iPhone application. The application makes information on properties in all stages of foreclosure – including daily auction schedules – available to users anywhere, at any time.

ForeclosureRadar counts thousands of professional investors, Realtors, government agencies and financial institutions among its subscribers. The iPhone application is available free to ForeclosureRadar subscribers at the App Store by Apple.

The new iPhone app allows users to:

– Identify foreclosures around their current location using the iPhone’s GPS capability, or searching by map area, city or ZIP Code
– Monitor foreclosure auction activity with daily auction schedules, and quickly find properties as they are announced by the auctioneer
– Review details on foreclosures including ownership, loan history, value, equity, transaction history and more
– View saved properties, review financial analyses performed with the user’s ForeclosureRadar account, and tag and assign a status to properties of interest
– Take photos or make notes on properties that can be viewed later or shared instantly with team members

“Success in today’s foreclosure market is driven in large part by the quality and timeliness of your information,” said Sean O’Toole, ForeclosureRadar’s founder and CEO. “Whether you are an auction investor who needs instant information on the courthouse steps, a Realtor working with clients in the field, or an investor or government staffer doing site inspections, you’ll find this app invaluable.”

Andrew Katakis of CEMG, Inc., a foreclosure investor and ForeclosureRadar subscriber, said, “The data
ForeclosureRadar delivers, and tools they provide to make sense of it, simply blow other foreclosure services out of the water. Extending this experience to the iPhone adds to the value they provide immeasurably.”

“Now my team and I can enter any market, any neighborhood, and immediately and accurately answer the question ‘What’s the foreclosure situation here?’” said Michael Temby, a Realtor with Keller Williams Realty who subscribes to ForeclosureRadar. “I can quickly and confidently establish my foreclosure expertise with clients in any situation.”

ForeclosureRadar is a web-based subscription service. Subscriptions are $49.95 per month with no long-term
contract. A 3-day free trial is available.

About ForeclosureRadar.com

ForeclosureRadar features unprecedented tools to search, manage, track and analyze pre-foreclosure, foreclosure auction, short sale and bank-owned real estate. The company was launched in May 2007 by Sean O’Toole, who spent 15 years building and launching software companies before entering
the foreclosure business in 2002, where he has successfully bought and sold more than 150 foreclosure properties. ForeclosureRadar is privately held and based in the San Francisco Bay Area.

M.A.D. Partners, a global leader in securing smart phones and mobile devices, announces the immediate availability of Mobile Active Defense, the first 100% cloud-based and comprehensive mobile security solution
for the enterprise. Mobile Active Defense forces all iPhone, iPad and iTouch traffic through the device VPN to the industry’s first Mobile Enterprise Compliance and Security (MECS) Server — a fully managed firewall that can either be hosted or managed.

Using zero footprint technology, Mobile Active Defense offers IT and IS professionals exactly what they’ve been waiting for; comprehensive mobile security that also allows for complete compliancy. According to M.A.D. Partners’ CTO, Rob Smith, “M.A.D. protects just about everything the CISO and CTO would want. Email security, anti-virus, spam and malware detection and removal, encryption, VPN, a granular policy driven firewall, inventory control, provisioning and of course, extensive reporting.”

M.A.D. Enterprise does not require any changes to existing security or IT infrastructure and can be up and running within hours. Moreover, Android, Symbian and Windows Mobile support will be available in coming weeks, all managed through a single console interface and managed firewall.

As Larry Whiteside Jr., CISO of the Visiting Nurse Service of New York puts it, “We have had the types of controls needed for security and compliance with BlackBerry for years. It is critical that we demand the same level of security be used to mitigate against the risk inherent in iPhones, iPads and other mobile devices now that they are appearing in the enterprise.”

With the success and security that was delivered with the BlackBerry and the BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES), many information security and technology professionals looked beyond mobile security and switched their focus to more pressing concerns. However, with the rapid success and consumerization of a myriad of intelligent mobile technologies including the iPhone, iPad, Android phones, Nokia Symbian and Windows Mobile devices, the lack of available security and compliance for the mobile enterprise marks the availability of Mobile Active Defense at a critical and opportune time for companies in all sectors.

Prior to Mobile Active Defense, and due to limited options, organizations have been piloting, or worse yet deploying these devices, using only the available controls from Microsoft ActiveSync and the iPhone native operating system. Multiple vendors unfortunately claim that managing these anemic features is “security.” With less than 50% of the controls offered by Mobile Active Defense — security and technology professionals have nervously been trying to figure out how to get back to the standard which they are
used to with solutions like BES. Now with Mobile Active Defense, they have their answer.
