Samsung S5600 launched exclusively with Orange.

SAMSUNG Mobile announced that Orange is the first UK network to launch the Samsung S5600. Available immediately, the new handset is perfect for social networkers on the move and available in black, pink and white for the latest in touchscreen innovation.

The Samsung S5600 is perfect for keeping in touch on the move, particularly with the latest social networking trends and comes with Orange Windows Live embedded for easy access. Fast internet browsing with an accelerometer sensor for auto screen rotation gives users an exciting mobile internet experience. The 2.8″ QVGA full touch screen really helps the user to design, customise and personalise the way they use their phone.

Samsung have launched a new movie service powered by Acetrax (experts in premium movie content delivery) that brings movies and TV to compatible Samsung mobiles.

Get over 1,000 movies and TV shows and download them to your mobile from Warner Bros., Paramount, Universal and Momentum Pictures. In the future Samsung plans to expand their movie service to notebooks, mp3 & mp4 players and Samsung TVs.

This new service was launched in London on 19th March 2009 and is a dedicated movie store for Samsung customers, with the downloads are available to own or rent. You will be able to watch your favourite movies and the latest Hollywood releases, with over 500 blockbusters to choose from.

The movies and TV shows can be downloaded and viewed on video enabled Samsung phones such as the new Samsung Tocco Ultra Edition and the service can be accessed from samsungmovies. Service will initially be accessable from within the UK and Germany and later in other key European countries later in the year.

If you have the need for a mobile phone with a dual sim card then Samsung have just announced their upgraded dual-SIM phone the “Samsung B5702 DUOS”, which replaces their first dual sim phone the Samsung D880.

The B5702 DUOS is a slide type mobile phone and looks very much like the D800. The phone has a 2.4″ 240 x 320 pixel display and a low resolution camera at just a 3 megapixels

This mobile comes with the standard Bluetooth and a multimedia player with microSD expandable memory of up to 8 GB and of course twin sim slots which support quad-band GSM, so that you can phone using two different mobile providers.

This mobile does not support 3G though, so if this is important to you then you will need to choose a different dual-sim phone.

Samsung have unveiled the world’s first solar-powered touchscreen handset – the Blue Earth.

The Blue Earth Mobile Phone is built out of recycled water bottles, which is like the Motorola Renew, and Samsungs answer to a “Green” mobile phone. Adding to the “Green” theme the phone has a built in pedometer that tracks how many trees you have saved by walking rather than using your car. A mobile phone that calculates how much you have reduced your carbon footprint.

The phone has a solar panel on the back of the phone, which means that in order to charge it you will need to place it face-down and in direct sunlight. So we are not quite sure what will happen if it is overcast and raining and obviously when it is in your pocket it will not charge-up.

The Blue Earth has a touchscreen using Samsung’s new TouchWiz interface and comes with the usual Bluetooth.

Samsung have unveiled their latest mobile phone – the Samsung Omnia HD at Mobile World Congress.

So what does the Samsung Omnia HD have to offer? The phone has a touch screen display and instead of being a Windows mobile phone, as previously, it is now a Symbian software based mobile phone.
