    The highly anticipated Nokia N97, Nokia’s flagship mobile computer, will begin selling in June in more than 75 countries. Along with a tilting 3.5″ touch display, QWERTY keyboard and a fully customizable home screen, the Nokia N97 will offer instant access to the full range of Ovi services.

The Nokia N97 is the first device to ship with the Ovi Store, which offers easy access to applications, games, videos, podcasts, productivity tools, web and location-based services, and much more. Ovi Store has paid and free content from a range of global and local content providers and developers, including Paramount Pictures, Facebook and Qik, as well as a selection of Twitter applications.

    Motorola Announces Launch of its new messaging and multimedia device, the i465 iDEN which has been branded the Clutch.

    The “Motorola Clutch” meets military-specs for extreme conditions including shock, vibration, dust, and solar radiation, which means this latest phone is designed to withstand most of what you can.

    The TFT display on the Clutch is portrait which is 1.79” 64k 128×160 and it has a QWERTY keyboard with push-to-talk technology designed for easy texting. This mobile phone also has speakerphone, VGA camera, MMS support, email client (POP3), Bluetooth, 20Mbyte of user memory and message threading.

    Some of the mobile phone’s features will be dependent on the capabilities and settings of your service provider’s network and it is possible that certain features will not be activated in the first place or their network settings may limit the feature’s functionality.     The Nokia N97 is a powerful mobile phone that is also a mobile computer – the Nokia N97 a pocket laptop too.

    LG have released their update to the original LG Viewty – the LG GC900 Viewty Smart which has been significantly improved.

    The display is a touch-sensitive screen and is large measuring 3.0″ and displaying 800 x 480 pixels. It also comes complete with an impressive 8.0 mega pixel camera with Schneider-Kreuznach optics and an LED flash. The camera also has face detection, multi-shot capabilities and panoramic stitching – all this is a light weight case weighing in at just 102 grams.

    The updated LG mobile phone is WiFi complete and supports 3.5G with integrated GPS so is a great mobile phone to have in your pocket., the Viewty Smart is an impressive device.

    This mobile is very similar to the new LG Arena except that the Arena has just a 5 mega pixel camera, as the new Viewty also features LG’s new S-Class user interface and has a strong video recording and playback functionality supporting a wide variety of media types including MP3, MPEG4, AAC and Windows Media formats.

    On top of all that this phone is a quad-band GSM phone – so well done to LG for producing a great phone.

    If you have the need for a mobile phone with a dual sim card then Samsung have just announced their upgraded dual-SIM phone the “Samsung B5702 DUOS”, which replaces their first dual sim phone the Samsung D880.

    The B5702 DUOS is a slide type mobile phone and looks very much like the D800. The phone has a 2.4″ 240 x 320 pixel display and a low resolution camera at just a 3 megapixels

    This mobile comes with the standard Bluetooth and a multimedia player with microSD expandable memory of up to 8 GB and of course twin sim slots which support quad-band GSM, so that you can phone using two different mobile providers.

    This mobile does not support 3G though, so if this is important to you then you will need to choose a different dual-sim phone.

    The Duos has two LED’s positioned at the top of the phone above the screen which indicate which SIM card is currently in use.

    Vodafone and O2 have teamed up to launch network share agreement and they have confirmed that they will offer a new handset for this new partnershipand will be available from June of 2009.

    The new mobile phone handset will automatically latch onto the best tariff available from either Vodafone or O2 for each phone call you make. They claim that the savings will be around 30 per cent on local and international calls by using these joint tariffs.

    This new handset has been named the ‘VO2 Twin Phone’ and will come complete with a dual keypad and a split-screen. The dual components will allow each network to embed their own firmware and unique features.

    Vodafone and O2 will issue single dual SIMs for the handset. Customers that use this mobile phone will get an aggregated bill andit will only be sold by Vodafone and O2 stores so dealers will not be permitted to the sell this device.

    If you are looking for a mobile phone that is like the iPhone, but looks as though you could could buy it for a cheaper price and with the same functionality then may be you will consider the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic.

    Certainly during the present credit crunch cost savings are always welcome and whilst there will always be the Apple iPhone advocates the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic is a good alternative. The Nokia alternative has better resolution with 640×360 pixels versus the iPhone’s 480×320 pixels.

    The Nokia 5800 has its own music store which looks like being free for the first year – another great saving during the credit crunch. On top of which the Nokia 5800 is capable of video recording and offering MMS, both of which are things that the iPhone do not have yet.

    The camera on the Nokia 5800 has 3.2 Mega pixels and has superior Carl Zeiss Optics together with dual flash. The iPhone has just a 2 Mega pixels camera and has no flash at all, let alone a dual one.
